This is a book filled with sorrow and hopelessness for humanity - the author doesn't just take the reader on the physical journey of her enslaving by ISIS and miraculous escape， but also poors at each step her emotions onto the reader。 At times I found it hard to continue - as I was reading this book， talibans were slowly taking back control over Iraq and imposing their rules on women （one of the first being that women are no longer allowed to work） and mass rape was uncovered in Congo。 It made This is a book filled with sorrow and hopelessness for humanity - the author doesn't just take the reader on the physical journey of her enslaving by ISIS and miraculous escape， but also poors at each step her emotions onto the reader。 At times I found it hard to continue - as I was reading this book， talibans were slowly taking back control over Iraq and imposing their rules on women （one of the first being that women are no longer allowed to work） and mass rape was uncovered in Congo。 It made me think of the tens of thousands of Nadias out there。 As a woman I cherished this book dearly。 I wish stories like this one would inspire more women - more people in general - to take action and fight for women's right to education， to independence and to psychological and physical integrity。 I hope more Nadias will raise victorious from their fight against abuse and torture and that this book will not remain just a great story by a Nobel laureate。 。。。more

Excelente。 Todos deberíamos leer este libro。 Forma parte de una realidad que no solo afecta a Irak sino a muchos lugares en los que las mujeres son poco menos que botín de guerra。 Autobiografía dolorosa， en ocasiones el relato suena hasta increíble pero lo peor es que es real。 Nadia Murad relata el horror sin dejarse vencer， transforma lo vivido para ayudar a otras mujeres en su misma situación。 Es un libro muy recomendable。

Muy duro y necesario。Reconozco que al principio no me estaba convenciendo， pero finalmente se convirtió en uno de esos libros que considero de lectura obligatoria。Su historia es la de tantas otras， narrada de una manera que muestra la cruda realidad sin recrearse en los peores momentos， aunque tampoco los obvia。

I’d give this book 10 stars if I could。 And I hated it。 I hated that someone just few hours away from where I live has had such a horrendous life。 I hated that she’s not the only one。 I hated the fact that we as human beings keep failing such people。 Before picking this up， I read Yeonmi Park’s biography IN ORDER TO LIVE， which was again a very similar ordeal but in a completely different world。 I hate the fact that everyday a Nadia， a Yeonmi and million others like them are stripped of their id I’d give this book 10 stars if I could。 And I hated it。 I hated that someone just few hours away from where I live has had such a horrendous life。 I hated that she’s not the only one。 I hated the fact that we as human beings keep failing such people。 Before picking this up， I read Yeonmi Park’s biography IN ORDER TO LIVE， which was again a very similar ordeal but in a completely different world。 I hate the fact that everyday a Nadia， a Yeonmi and million others like them are stripped of their identity， their dignity， their bodies， their lives。 I hated everything that both these girls had to go through to get back something which we all take for granted。 。。。more

در فصل اول، ترتیب زمانی وقایع اصلا رعایت نشده اند و خواننده قطعاً متوجه نیست که کدام اتفاق قبل یا بعد از کدام اتفاق می افتد و این باعث سردرگمی است - برای من جالب تر بود این که جریانات کردی و شیعی و سنی عراقی را بیشتر می گفت - بیان ضعیف از خاطراتش، این حس حسرت از دست دادن زندگی با مادرش و خانواده اش را به من منتقل نکرد。 زبان گفتار زبان حال هست تا زبان خاطره به همین خاطر مانند خالد حسینی نتوانست به راحتی وارد احساسات من شود زمانی که در «بادبادک باز» از گذشته اش و از آن حس دوری از هرچه که خوب بود را می گفت - نادیا هم یک ایزدی متعصب هست چرا که هیچ وقت از خودش نمی پرسد دستور سنگسار در دین خودش آیا ضد حقوق بشری نیست؟ آیا تمام اعتقاداتش معقول است؟ - چرا فقط از ایزدی های می گوید؟ مگر شیعیان و کردهای سنی آن منطقه زیر بار ظلم داعش از بین نرفتند و قتل عام نشدند؟ این بی انصافی است که به هیچ یک از آن ها اشاره نمی شود و مردم کردنشین عراق را در رفاه نشان می دهد。 - آداب و رسوم ایزدی هیچ منشا و عقبه تاریخی و پایه و اساس قوی ندارد و به نظر صرفاً اقتباس از هم گسیخته ای از ادیان ابراهیمی است！- یک تروریست قبل از نمایش خود واقعی اش چطوری در بین مردم معمولی دیگر شکل می گیرد؟ به این سوال نمی توان با این داستان نمی توان جواب داد。 نکاتی که می تواند برای همه ما درسی باشد:- در جامعه ای مانند عراق که فرقه های مختلف با تعصب های مختلف وجود دارد، قالب شدن یک تفکر و یک فرقه بر بقیه ممکن است در طول تاریخ اتفاق بیفتد که طی آن تندرویی هایی بر پیروان یک مذهب کم جمعیت اعمال می شود。 این شرایط زندگی را سخت تر می کند و آن فرقه در اقلیت همواره از یک درد گروهی رنج می برد که این ممکن است به یک عادت تبدیل شود。 کمااین که برای نادیا و همه ایزدیان اتفاق افتاده بود。 چون یک اقلیت قدرت کافی ندارد، مجبور به پذیرش و عادت به ظلم و بی عدالتی است。 - خود کم جمعیت بودن یعنی بی قدرت و بی دفاع بود。 پس همواره آن ها از بقیه درخواست پشتیبانی می کردند و اعتماد به بقیه کار آسانی نیست و چون چاره ای نداری مجبور هستی که به نحوی اعتماد کنی。 - تصور یک اقلیت از پیروان یک دین یا مذهبی که به آن ها سخت گرفته است بسیار می تواند اشتباه باشد چون نمایندگان ظالم آن دین، هرخوبی دین را می پوشاند。- از همان زمان که دیشان توسط سنی های روستای نزدیک کوچو ربوده شد، باید حدس زده می شد که تندروهای سنی آن منطقه روزی قد علم کنند و هر کار ضد بشری است را به راحتی انجام دهند- نادیا در نوشتنش بسیار رک بود و از این ابایی نداشت که شخصیت خود را تحقیر کند。 در سیر زندگی او، می فهمیم چگونه این شخصیت ساخته می شود。 - یک دختر روستایی به خوبی از جریانات منطقه زندگی اش با اطلاع بود - ما شاید کمتر از حکومت ظالم صدام از زبان مردم خود عراق شنیده باشیم که بخشی هم در این کتاب اشاره شد。 همچنین از جنگ 8 ساله ایران هم گفت که جالب بود。 از تحریم های امریکا بر رژیم صدام و از سیستم آموزش و پرورش صدام می گوید。 - در اوج فقر، به هیچ وجه دست به گدایی بلند نکردند。 این آدم را می سازد تا هرجایی که باشد زندگی کند به هر قسمتی و فلاکتی که باشد تن دهد。 آیا کسی که نازپروده است، حتی یک شب این مصیبت ها را می تواند تحمل کند یا خودکشی می¬کند؟- به حساب نیامدن در سیستم قدرت حکومت و ظلم پی در پی و وحشت از دست دادن هویت از بدترین بلاهایی است که انسان را از درون خالی و بی چیز می کند。 این ها را ایزدی ها دیده اند اما جامعه به هم تنیده و وابسته آن ها به یک دیگر این را بین خودشان بسیار کمرنگ است。 ولی این حس تحقیر با تمامی مردمان اطراف خودشان دیده می شود。 - گفتن این که با آمدن امریکایی ها به عراق و سرنگونی صدام و حمایت امریکایی ها از گروه های شیعه در عراق برای من شوکه کننده بود چرا که با رسانه محدود و دروغگوی ایران چنین چیزی هیچ وقت بازتاب نشده بود。 - نادیا از اختلافات عقیدتی مردمان عراق می گوید و این اختلافات عین درگیری های قبیله ای از دیرزمان بوده است و اکنون به دلیل نبود آموزش درست و فراگیری دانش در بین مردم هم وجود دارد。 این جای تاسف است که چنین مردمی چنین کوته فکر پرورش یابند که باز هم تقصیر مردم و هم حکومت هاست。 کاش می شد که این اختلافات روزی به تعادل برسد و به جای تلف وقت و انرژی و منابع در راستای برافروختن آتش جنگ و تعصب و بی فکری، در راستای شکوفایی استعداد و گسترش عدالت و پیشرفت خرج می شد。 - نادیا به خوبی سوالاتی را از مردمی که در موصل در سایه تروریست های داعش ایمن شده بودند می پرسد که مطمئناً این طور اتفاقات در طول تاریخ بشر بارها و بارها تکرار شده اند و آیا مردم به اندازه کافی به خودشان آموزش داده اند که آدم باشند؟ یا اجازه می دهند شیطان و بزرگ ترین دشمنشان از درونشان بیرون بزند؟ تا چه حد ما با موصلی ها متفاوت هستیم؟ کسی چه می داند و تنها زمانی درون انسان پدیدار می شود که تو با آن شرایط روبرو شوی و الا گفتن این که ناامنی و کشت و کشتار بود و کافی نیست。 چون تو نمی توانی ترس و وحشت و تحقیر و بی هویتی را درک و حس کنی。 - سکوت در برابر جاری شدن ظلم دو خیانت هست: یکی به مردمی که ظلم می شوند و دیگری به خودش که خودخواهی و بی رحمی را در خود پرورش می دهد - داعش دقیقاً همان فرعونیانی بودند که پسربچه ها را می کشتند و زن ها و دخترها را نگه می داشتند و سوء استفاده می کردند که یادآور آیه « 。。。 یذبحون ابناءکم و یستحیون نساءکم و فی ذلکم بلاء من ربکم عظیم» است。 - تروریست ها حتی برای کشتن مردم برنامه درستی ندارند و کارها را انگار به طور خیلی بچگانه ای انجام می دهند گویی که می خواهند بازی کنند اما با جان مردم。 آن ها حتی قانون های درون سازمانی خودشان را هم اجرا نمی کردند - ایجاد رعب و وحشت بین مردم از جمله راهکارهای داعش بود تا این که به بتواند عدم اطمینان بین مردم را بالا ببرد و از همین برای سرکوب آن ها استفاده کند。 شرایط طوری می شود که مردم موصل نمی دانند کی با داعش هست و کی علیه آن ها تا بتوانند کاری کنند و از دست آن ها رها شوند。 در این شرایط اصلاً امکان راه اندازی جنبش علیه داعش وجود ندارد چون کسی به کسی دیگر اعتماد ندارد。 سکوت بیشتر مردم موصل یا جاهای دیگر نیز بیشتر از همین بود。 -با وعده های دروغین داعش خیلی ها گمراه شدند و آیا باز این جریانات در این منطقه مانند افغانستان شکل می گیرد؟ 。。。more
